ModeratorI start off showing the Crumble by getting kids to blink the motor LED.
However, it is a bit confusing to use the Motor Forward 75% to get an LED to come on 🙂
My solution would be to have a simple “set LED1/2 HI/LO” block or add LED1/2 to the choice of “set A/B/CD Hi/LO”

ParticipantWould that also set the motor on though? In which case anyone with a motor attached might be surprised by this behaviour.
Personally it makes more sense to me to just leave it – these are motor indicator lights and that’s how they work…?
Actually, could you just hook up some LEDs to the ABCD outputs? I just tried it and it works fine! 🙂

KeymasterThis is a tricky one… In the first couple of workshops I did, the first exercise was to flash a motor LED. Last time we croc-clipped an LED to A and – as Mike said, which avoided the confusion.
I think I would be a bit worried about creating more confusion (especially as I was thinking of adding ‘set LED on A/B/C/D and -‘ blocks too). Or am I overthinking it?!

ModeratorI’ll withdraw the request but amend it to sugesting sticking a LED into starter kit instead 🙂
