ParticipantWe are using crumble boards fitted with connector blocks to drive ‘Mars Rovers’ vehicles. We want to use micro servos to operate levers but trying to keep cost down. I changed a SG92R for a cheaper SG90. As it does not have a Crumble connector I tried wiring it directly to the power and the D inputs. A SG92R had been working there but this does not. Can anyone tell me, is this wiring wrong or do I have a faulty servo?

KeymasterHi Mavis,
You can use SG90 servos with the Crumble. We settled on SG92 servos because they seemed to perform better (no twitching and so on).
It’s worth checking the power connections. I can quite make out the wiring from the photo, but red should be +ve and brown -ve.
Hope this helps, but let me know if you are still having problems.
Thanks,
Joseph
