Can we have symbols please?

Can we have named constants please.
In basic they’re called symbols,
in C they’re #defines.

It teaches students to design-in tunability to their programs.

Please can we set their values with compile-time constant expressions.
These could be special types of “variables” perhaps called “Constants”?
