Digital Timer for a Marble Run

I’m new to Crumbles but I can see potential in it helping my children build a marble run timer that can display the time it took for the marble to complete their construction. I’ve added a few examples of marble runs just to give you a flavour of what we’re looking to do. I was looking a a simple switching system with a digital display that showed the time that had elapsed between on a LDR being tripped at the start and another being tripped at the end. Has anybody done this and if so, how can I programme my crumble to make it happen ?
