Getting Program to Run after removing USB

I’ve just plugged in my crumble into my computer for the first time and I can get the progam to run whilst the usb is attached but not once unplugged. Is there something simple I’m doing wrong?

How are you powering the Crumble when the USB cable is unplugged?

You need to provide power for the Crumble to work.

We are powering it via a 4.5 battery pack, the light comes on the battery pack when I switch it on – could it be because I’m using rechargeable batteries?
