ParticipantHi all
Still slightly new to the Crumble
I feel like I’m being really dumb, and as soon as someone suggests a solution it’s going to be a face palm moment but it’s really frying my brain at the moment!
Anyway, I have recently bought some Crumbs, I am having great difficulty getting the Proximity sensor to work! There is the new distance block on the software but I cannot get my head round to work it
I want the Proximity sensor to show red if the distance is less than 5cm, show amber if it is 5cm and if the distance is more than 5cm to show green.
I have used if statements but nothing has worked, maybe it’s the way I’ve wired it up.
Also, in the distance block is has T: a E:b – what does this even mean?
Thanks

KeymasterHi,
The distance block is for use with the HC-SRO4 Ultrasonic sensor. I think I need to make this clearer in the next software release!
The Proximity Crumb has a digital output, so can only be used to sense if something is close, or not.
Hope this helps,
Joseph

ParticipantHi Sarag,
I think ‘T’ means ‘connect this to the Trigger pin of your HC-SR04’, and ‘E’ means ‘connect to the Echo pin’.
🙂
