Your lucky to have single letter variable names!
In my day – we had to remember the hex address of the memory location we needed and also how many bytes it was using!
I’m hoping that Joseph DOESN’T change this but concentrates on getting us access to the Crumble direct from Scratch so we can lever Scratch power for this 🙂
IR detectors are the norm for line followers as nowhere near as sensitive to changes in visible light levels
Something like this
You can have a play with a IR Proximity Crumb but its not ideal for close range line following use but if you tilt it at an angle – it does the job 🙂
Good news first
I’m planning on getting Scratch to control a Crumble
Even though Scratch 2 works very well on Chromebooks – existing hardware extensions for things like Lego WeDo don’t (according to Google – I have no Chromebook)
So unfortunately, its going to be very tricky (never say never) to get this to work
Try it and let us know if it works 🙂
Sussed it 🙂
Your image didn’t have http:// at the beginning – it just started off with “scratchup.” Once I added the http:// bit – it displays fine 🙂
So What you need to do is put the image on the web somewhere – copy its URL and then click on the IMG button and Ctrl-V to paste it in 🙂
This is an image
Only Mr Crumble knows about that so we’ll need him to look at it
Hopefully it’ll cope with images but I think video would be too much traffic. I use Vine or YouTube and post a link in other places.
Excellent tip – thanks 🙂
